The Central Virginia Race for the Cure® helps fund all the great work that we do in our community. And, the Race has always been a unique way to celebrate Komen’s mission and our wonderful breast cancer survivors. Help us make the Race even MORE unique this year by showing your support with a tutu! Here’s how:
First - Register for the Race
The 2014 Komen Central Virginia Race for the Cure is on Saturday, May 10. This year's Race is our 17th annual Race, and we need you there to make this year's Race awesome! Click here to register for the Race.
Second - Make Your Tutu
If you are going to tutu with us, you're going to need a tutu! Here's a link to quick and easy instructions to make a NO SEW tutu.
Third - Join the Fun and Tell Us Why YOU Tutu!
Tell us why you Race and why, from your perspective, the funds raised by the Race are vital to our community.
Send us a picture of yourself wearing a tutu (email to firstname.lastname@example.org) and holding a sign that tells why YOU tutu. Or, post your picture on Facebook or Twitter using hashtag #DoYouTutu or #ITutuBecause.
Create your own sign to communicate your reason why or use one of the templates below. Click on the template you wish to use and then print it from your browser.
Fourth - Wear a Tutu to the Race!
If you plan to wear a costume on Race day, make it a tutu! While tutus or any costume are optional, we would love to see the tutu become a symbol of our support for those in our community who have been affected by breast cancer.
